The population is directed towards the south and east coasts of the country.
The problem of overcrowding is evident in many cities like Shanghai and Hongkong
Currently, most of the population is concentrated into cities. The cities themselves are, and continue to develop. Many cities in China contain more than a million people. The most populated city, Shanghai has over nineteen million inhabitants.
The Chinese still have much land to use up, the only problem is that the northern areas don't have good land to work with
as seen in the image to the left, the people prefer the sea near river outlets for the locations of cities. The areas provide a good source of food and water. which in turn starts overcrowding

The Chinese population emerged thousands of years ago, and made thier homes here. Back then, the Chinese all stayed in the river areas and oceans. Pretty soon, the population began to rise extremely quickly and started to crowd up. Soon, the Chinese started going into a recession which was around when the Communists took over.
